Vote Layden Duncan for Greenville City Council!
November 2, 2027
I’m running for Greenville City Council because I believe local government should work for everyone, not just the people with the loudest voices or the deepest pockets. Greenville is growing quickly, but growth means very little if working people can’t afford to live here, if getting around without a car is difficult, or if our communities don’t feel like they have a seat at the table.
- Reliable Public Transportation
- Expanding Affordable Housing
- Protecting Civil Liberties
- Questioning Unnecessary Surveillance
- Keeping Local Government Accountable
- Ensuring Responsible City Growth
About Layden Duncan
My name is Layden Duncan, I’m a twenty year Greenville native who believes that the people who call this city home should have a real say in what its future looks like.
I’ve worked blue collar jobs, I’ve worked artistic jobs, I’ve been self employed, and at no point have I felt truly financially stable in Greenville.
My politics are rooted in a simple idea, We should build a city where people can afford to live, raise a family, get to work, and feel safe without having to sacrifice their dignity or privacy.
That means fighting for better and more reliable public transportation, expanding affordable housing, protecting civil liberties, questioning unnecessary surveillance, and making sure Greenville’s government is accountable to the people it represents.
I’m not running because I think I have all the answers. I’m running because I’m willing to listen, ask difficult questions, and fight for a Greenville that belongs to all of us.
I love this city. I grew up here, I know what makes Greenville special, and I want to help make sure that as Greenville changes, we don’t lose the people and communities that made it special in the first place.
